WHO WE ARE
Lifestyle Institute is recognized as one of the leading Family Healthcare Charity Organizations in the United States.
Our story began years ago, when a diverse group of mothers each fighting for answers for their children, found themselves navigating a healthcare system that offered little clarity and even fewer solutions. Feeling unheard and unsupported, they refused to accept that this was the end of the road for their families.
Determined to seek real answers, they turned to some of the world’s most respected medical institutions, including the Floating Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. With the guidance of renowned physicians and specialists, the pieces finally began to fall into place, and a movement toward meaningful, compassionate care was born.
Among the distinguished professionals who shaped our mission is Dr. Rosso, one of the most influential figures in community mental healthcare. Leaving behind academic research at Johns Hopkins and completing his medical residency at Harvard University, Dr. Rosso dedicated his career to serving underserved communities. In the early 1970s, he pioneered urban mental health programs for families affected by drug abuse and helped build the foundation for some of the most impactful charity healthcare initiatives in the country.
Today, Lifestyle Institute continues this legacy driven by compassion, guided by expertise, and committed to empowering families with the care, support, and dignity they deserve.
